Whether it’s sliding,
bi-folding, engine room,
or general access doors – we’ve got it all covered!
The doors on your vessel can be both seamless and practical.
They can be main doors, side entry doors, engine room doors, cupboard doors, interior doors, or forward deck doors that need to keep big waves out… we can help you with them all.
Whether you want something special, or just functional, we can help.

Sliding Doors
We can manufacture sliding doors for both recreational and commercial vessels, each with hardware to suit their application.
Sliding doors are great for being unobtrusive in the aft bulkhead, they can slide into pockets or behind freezers and seats.
In this example, our client Kinetic Catamarans, in Knysna, South Africa, wanted a full width 4 meter, 4-panel sliding door with the option for the panels to slide all to port, all to starboard, or bi-part in the middle! Quite the challenge, but they’re practical and they look amazing being flush glazed.
Ask us about your design and what might work best.
Commercial Vessel Doors
F/V-Manakai is a NZ Built commercial fishing vessel. For this project we supplied our commercial doors in the aft, saloon, head and engine room, which are double flanged and can be double sealed and sound insulated if required.
The wheelhouse also required a commercial spec sliding door, that was capable of taking green waves in the heavy conditions the vessel is often caught in.
The result was a modern finished commercial vessel with doors, and glass, that was designed and made to withstand offshore marine use.
Bi-Folding Doors
Bi-Fold doors are a great way to open up a space with minimal interruption. We like to think of them as a removable wall, because they tuck away neatly on the sides and the way they fold is designed for secure fastening whilst the vessel is underway.
This project is was a custom Surtees 800GF made for Ben Brown, for his show Built to Fish. As you can see this boat gets well used by some very avid fisherman. With all that action on deck, the last thing you want to be worried about is obtrusive door panels.
These close up the entire aft bulkhead for a smooth, quiet, and warm ride home after a long day out on the water!
