Technical Information
Aluminium
Our window frames are manufactured from the best materials available
to us. The alloy is 6063T4, which allows us to bend and curl it
without splits or cracking. Once Anodised (our recommended surface
finish) it attains a temper of around T5 to T6.
Anodising
The anodising process itself is done by a subcontractor and is done
to a thickness of 25 micron using non organic dyes.
Glass
We recommend using toughened glass, which is manufactured here in
New Zealand, cut to size and tempered to NZS 5238, which is the
standard for marine toughened glass and is internationally recognised.
Sealants and Hardware
All hardware used is of the best quality available. Stainless Steel
screws, ally rivets and sealants and adhesives designed for the
marine environment.
